Science Teacher – Long-Term Substitute

October-November 2026

The successful candidate will:

• Promote 21^st century educational excellence through the vigorous support of the mission and goals of The Woodstock Academy; and
• Facilitate individual, departmental and school excellence through the support of high-quality personnel, reinforcement of best instructional practices, encouragement of a culture of collaboration, and a focus on learning.

Minimum qualifications: 

• Connecticut 030, 031, 032, 033, or 034 certification preferred;

• Demonstrated excellence in secondary school instruction;
• Knowledge of the best practices in science, the ability to use instructional technology, familiarity with a block schedule; and
• Positive attitude, integrity, collaboration skills, and a cooperative attitude and a sense of humor, essential. 

The pay rate is $140.00 per day ($165.00 per day with a CT teaching certificate).
